Job description: Autodesk Civil 3D Support Specialist – Richardson, TXHalff is looking for a dynamic person to join the firm’s Technology Department as an Autodesk Civil 3D Support Specialist in our Richardson, Texas office. This key position will support the enterprise use of our engineering production software. The primary responsibility will be the support of Autodesk products, primarily Civil 3D and their related add-ons.Our preferred candidate will have the perspective of a design professional with experience in project setup and multi-discipline coordination. This person should enjoy working with people to resolve problems, find innovative solutions, learn how to leverage new technology, and teach best practices. They should be able to work equally well either independently or collaboratively with fellow CADD team members.Responsibilities:
- Working in an IT support team environment
- Managing the licensing, configuration and installation of Autodesk and related software
- Assist with creating software deployments using Microsoft SCCM
- Troubleshooting software installation, performance, and workflow issues
- Problem solving project file and user specific issues
- Facilitating project collaboration and work sharing, primarily using Autodesk Construction Cloud
- Optimizing design environments to automate access to client specific standards content and streamline production workflows
- Facilitating the coordination of CADD standards across a variety of design disciplines
Qualifications:
- Positive attitude with a desire to assist others with technology challenges
- A minimum of 5 years of production experience producing civil engineering projects using Autodesk Civil 3D software.
- Preferred, Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Drafting Technology or another related field
- Experience with creating, maintaining, and updating Autodesk profiles
- Knowledge of maintaining and updating Autodesk CADD/BIM standards components
- Experience with automation and scripting to streamline workflows
- Passion for using technology to find better solutions
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work in a team environment
