Job description: Job Posting Title: Clinical Research Program Administrator- Aguirre Lab—-Hiring Department: Department of Neurology—-Position Open To: All Applicants—-Weekly Scheduled Hours: 40—-FLSA Status: Exempt—-Earliest Start Date: Immediately—-Position Duration: Expected to Continue Until Aug 31, 2025—-Location: AUSTIN, TX—-Job Details:General NotesThe Department of Neurology at the Dell Medical School is looking for a Clinical Research Program Administrator.This is a grant funded position with an end date of 08/31/25 renewable based on availability of funding, work performance and progress toward research goals.PurposeThe Clinical Research Program Administrator will work with faculty in Dell Medical School, School of Nursing and Center for Health IPE to coordinate the day-to-day management of a 12-month state contract.ResponsibilitiesCoordinates the day-to-day management of the DHHS state contract. Coordinate logistics (scheduling, meeting minutes) for task force meetings and project groups. Submit monthly progress report on activities performed to DHHS.Provides direct supervision to GRA, establishing performance goals and expectations. Coordinate with other departments, schools at the University, and other institution partners. Collaborates with contributors within the team, including the Center for Health IPE.Collaborates with the task force and content creators to plan, develop, implement one-day retreat for the content creators.Organizes visual aids and curriculum materials to ensure effectiveness of the program operation for the task force.Collaborates with the task force and the operations team to plan, develop, order supplies and implement and evaluate the IPE curriculum at the ‘pilot curriculum day’.Works with GRA to submit research study to the IRB, including informed consent, protocol and evaluation forms.Monitors project timeline to ensure that program deliverables and milestones can be met.Oversees program budget spreadsheets.Provides leadership in establishing relationships with content creators, vendors and subject matter experts. Represents the program and DMS to key external and internal stakeholders, including leaders in the medical, non-profit, government, and education sectors.Other related duties as assigned.Required QualificationsBachelor’s degree and at least seven (7) years of professional experience, or master’s degree and at least five (5) years of professional experience coordinating or managing a program, at least two (2) years of which are in a medical, educational, or non-profit setting. Must possess effective project coordination skills, including the ability to plan, organize and schedule work in an efficient and productive manner, focusing on key priorities and meeting deadlines. Ability to interact with multiple stakeholders, learn and apply new information, knowledge, and experiences in a timely manner. Must possess effective organizational skills and attention to detail, effective follow-through, and commitment to excellence. Must possess the ability to communicate with others in a clear, understandable and professional manner on the phone and in person; demonstrated use of good written and verbal communication skills. Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.Preferred QualificationsExperience developing and sustaining a program, preferably related to health or health education. Knowledge of best practices in project management. Experience with monitoring grants and contracts and writing progress reports.
