Job description: Graphic Designer (entry-level)We are looking for a creative graphic designer to join Halff’s Communications team and bolster our internal and external communications efforts through a wide variety of graphic design projects. A successful candidate must exhibit strong interpersonal and critical thinking skills; demonstrate vision; be independent and self-motivated; thrive in a fast-paced environment; juggle multiple projects with short- and long-term deadlines; work confidently with a range of personalities; possess a service mindset; and have an eye for detail.Responsibilities:
- Conceptualize and design materials for digital and print collateral for internal and external clients. Examples include ads, banners, social media graphics, announcements, PowerPoint presentations, brochures, display boards, website and video graphics and more
- Collaborate with corporate departments, Halff leadership and technical staff to translate ideas into eye-catching and easy-to-follow graphics
- Retouch and manipulate images
- Develop consistent visual themes for campaigns
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in graphic arts or related field
- Work in a PC-based environment
- Strong compositional skills and eye for compelling layouts, typography, print-friendly graphics and web-based designs
- In-depth knowledge of Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign
- Excellent eye for detail
- Willingness and ability to adapt to emerging technologies
- Superior time management and organizational skills; ability to meet deadlines
- Exceptional interpersonal communication skills with service-oriented mindset
- Motivated and able to work with minimal supervision
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
