The MPA Assistant is a professional member of the MPA team and reports to the Director of Merchandising. This is an exempt, salaried position whose primary responsibility is to support the development of Kendra Scott merchandising, planning and allocation groups. All below responsibilities are for specific categories owned.Responsibilities:
Systemic Work

  • RMS management – Correct, accurate and timeline uploads into our RMS system including hierarchy and system codes
  • Systemic work as it relates to pricing changes and mark downs.
  • Product Lifecycle Maintenance Systemic work to keep product information up to date and properly maintained including assortment creation, sku generation, color specifications and retail updates.
  • Assortment Sheet ownership and ongoing maintenance- ensuring accuracy & creation of these critical product resources.
  • Core assortment maintenance in both PLM and assortment sheets
  • Communicate and distribute all critical merchandising information to key functional areas on a timely basis
  • Assist in uploading and organizing product requests from the field
  • Organize internal & external item setup needs & maintain data accuracy

Cross Functional Partnership

  • Partner with MPA leadership to support systemic and process tasks. Flex toward the changing business needs.
  • Partner with Wholesale team to ensure market needs are met – scrub content, samples, etc.
  • Partner with Web Merch regarding product set up and sku list needs
  • Manage all samples for any CFT meetings – set up, checking out and checking back in, organization, etc.

Reporting

  • Supporting all reporting needs for both Planning & Merchandising – Hindsighting, WBR, etc.
  • Generate and share re-occurring weekly, monthly and quarterly reports
  • Take on seamless ownership of various planning trackers which keep the business up to date on inventory health.
  • Become proficient with data pulling to support the following processes: Core, Replenishment, Productivity and hindsighting.
  • Manage Cross Dock log for DC and Sourcing partners to have better visibility to what is traveling to which distribution node within the enterprise.

Industry & Customer Expertise

  • Focuses on Promotional sku list creation and summarizing competitive recaps

Our Ideal Candidate will have:

  • Bachelor’s degree, Retail Merchandising preferred, or equivalent work experience
  • A proven ability to execute with consistent delivery
  • Highly organized, detail oriented and accurate
  • Solid financial acumen & analytical skills, able to work in the grey
  • Experience and passion for fashion retail merchandising, planning and execution
  • A strong ability to build relationship with co-workers and keep others informed
