Job description: Network Administrator — Richardson, TX:Halff has an immediate opening for a Network Administrator/IT Systems Analyst on our Infrastructure Team at our Richardson location.Responsibilities:
- Must have the ability to deploy and troubleshoot enterprise-wide servers and solutions.
- Respond to and resolve emergency issues escalated from Tier 1 Support
- Build and rack servers and subsystems.
- Must have excellent communication skills to troubleshoot and diagnose server/network/voice issues.
- Must have reliable transportation for travel to remote locations to deploy workstations, servers, and/or networking systems.
- Participate in on-call rotation
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds
Desired Skills:
- Basic programming/scripting skills for PowerShell, Python, other command line
- Administering Microsoft Azure, Entra ID, Distributed File System (DFS), or Internet Information Services (IIS) are all considered a plus.
- VM Hypervisor experience is considered a plus (VMware, Hyper-V, AHV, Xen)
- Experience with distributed global file systems (e.g. Nasuni, Panzura, Egnyte, etc)
- Linux administration (CentOS, Rocky, Debian, etc); Manage a ceph FS cluster
Required Experience:
- 2-5 years of experience with Windows Server 2016/2019/2022, including administering Active Directory Users and Computers, Sites, Trusts, and Group Policy
- Experience with TCP/IP, Routing, Subnetting, Cabling, Troubleshooting
- Experience with network operating systems, Cisco Catalyst or Aruba preferred.
- Experience with Fortinet Firewalls and VPN
Desired Experience:
- Industry Recognized Certifications preferred (MCSE, CCNA, RHCSA, etc)
- Three or more years of IT infrastructure experience in a medium sized enterprise
- FortiManager, Nutanix, Citrix Administration experience
