Our client is opening an exciting new preschool in the heart of Downtown Austin, and they are searching for a dedicated and enthusiastic Preschool Director to lead their team to success!About the Company:Our client is setting up an innovative preschool that combines an engaging curriculum with educational effectiveness. Their goal is to provide teachers with the tools, resources, and support they need to make a positive impact on children’s lives while creating a nurturing and vibrant community for all.Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

  • Lead by example, demonstrating a passion for making a difference in the lives of children and employees by creating an environment of trust and rapport. Easily relate to diverse groups of people.
  • Maintain the physical center environment and ensure all health/safety standard operating procedures are always in full compliance with local and state licensing regulations.
  • Ensure the center is fully staffed with high-performing teachers by actively sourcing, training, coaching, and engaging with current and prospective employees.
  • Deliver consistent business results, measured through family retention and conversion, enrollment growth, and business operations. Process and maintain accounts receivable and payable, monthly P&Ls, and employee payroll.
  • Effectively engage prospective families through both in-person and virtual center tours. Organize and execute community marketing events to drive awareness and enrollment.
  • Build intentional, positive relationships with staff, children, and their families.
  • Organize quarterly team-building events and be purposeful in establishing strong team morale within the school staff.
  • Consistently maintain school enrollment at or above 90%, with the ultimate goal of running the school at full 100% enrollment.
  • Operate the school within budgets established by TLA Management Office, including but not limited to payroll hours.
  • Network with the community, recruit families, and establish strong enrollment numbers.
  • Conduct facility tours, field incoming phone calls, and provide excellent customer service to current and prospective families.
  • Manage onsite accounting, including tuition payments, and ensure accurate financial tracking.

What We’re Looking For:

  • 2+ years of leadership in an early childhood education center
  • Director/Administrative credential and CDA in early childhood development, with knowledge of Texas State Licensing Standards.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field is highly preferred.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills, plus proficiency with computer tools like Microsoft 365, Google Docs, and ProCare.
  • Ability to build trusting relationships with staff, children, and families.
  • Understanding of budgeting, payroll, and managing school operations.
