Job description: Job DescriptionIn this role, you will be responsible for driving and facilitating Business Process Improvement initiatives, analyses, and recommendations across stores, regions, functions, and operations. You will serve as an internal consultant to the organization, working with key leaders and stakeholders to understand business process objectives, potential changes, challenges, and areas in need of assessment / improvement. You can expect to:

  • Review and evaluate new or improved business and management practices for application to company programs or operations.
  • Create business cases for proposed process or operational changes.
  • Develops solutions to organizational issues and concerns, organizational change strategies and plans, and facilitates processes for their implementation in collaboration with leadership.
  • Act as a subject matter expert regarding process improvement analyses and initiatives

Successful candidates must have experience with statistical modeling and being able to assess large sets of data to draw correlation or create attribution logic to pulled data sets. Successful candidates in this role will have high proficiency with Sql, Excel, R and Python. Having a background in statistics is a big plus.You must be located in Austin, TX for this role and will be required at minimum 3 days on-site per week in our downtown Austin office.Responsibilities:

  • Provides BPI support across organizational units and/or for large integrated processes or functions.
  • Works throughout the organization to identify change targets with potentially significant business impact; target areas may include:
  • Store Operations,
  • Information Systems,
  • Supply Chain,
  • Vendor / Supplier Management,
  • Customer experience.
  • Works on complex business problems that may include multiple functions and/or diverse technologies.
  • Gathers and documents requirements for initiative design and associated project management.
  • Provides leadership to cross-functional teams throughout the project lifecycle, including resource estimation, milestone identification, team facilitation, change management, and reporting.
  • Ensures business processes are analyzed from multiple aspects, including inputs, outputs, user and customer experience.
  • Leads in the identification and analysis of high impact change targets.
  • Engages with process owners / stakeholders to develop change recommendations, design testing strategies, and evaluate effectiveness of recommended approaches.
  • Supports process improvement implementation through education, training, or facilitation as required.
  • Follows up to identify successes, areas for improvement, and lessons learned.

Skills:

  • Strong understanding and proven ability to apply standard and some advanced BPI methodologies and tools. Advanced statistics background is a major plus in this role.
  • Advanced ability to identify and pursue process improvement opportunities based on risk controls, customer experience, efficiencies, and other business-focused factors.
  • Assesses how systems and processes impact the effectiveness and efficiency of internal operations.
  • Communicates structured information in a clear, concise, and organized fashion.
  • Effectively present information and respond to questions in both one-on-one situations and group meetings.
  • Participates in cross-functional projects and provides senior-level support to team. Collaborates with others to achieve objectives and ensure information flow.
  • May provide informal support to less experienced Team Members.
  • Builds and nurtures relationships with senior-level stakeholders and leaders.
  • Presents problem analysis and recommended solutions in a creative and logical manner / apply analytical thinking to evaluate and interpret complex situations.
  • Handles a diverse range of issues requiring evaluation of a variety of factors, including business trends.
  • Identifies opportunities for process and procedural enhancements to drive efficiency and improve service levels.
  • Understands the trends and emerging challenges facing the customer base, market, and industry.
  • Demonstrates excellent knowledge of the WFM product mix, supply base, and retail operations.

Education & Experience:

  • BA/BS degree and 4-6 years’ relevant experience OR equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
