Job description: Job Title: Principle Physical Design EngineerJob Location: Austin TXJob description:We are seeking Principle Physical Design Engineer who has experience on 5nm/3nm/2nm.Key responsibilities:
- Check incoming netlist for QOR required to implement design in N3 and N2 process.
- Proficient in subsystem floor planning and signoff with chip PD team.
- Proficiency in driving physical implementation steps including floor planning, place and route, power/clock distribution, congestion analysis, timing closure, formal verification on subsystems.
- You will plan and implement clock tree for sub-system with minimum skew up to 2GHz clock.
- You will be responsible for analyzing voltage drop across the die and reduce the drop to required specifications.
- Resolve design/timing/congestion and flow issues, identify the solution.
- Responsible to signoff timings, logic equivalency, physical verification, electro migration and Voltage drop.
- You will setup and run STA using PT-SI for all corners to timing signoff.
Required Skills
- Minimum 10 years of ASIC Physical Design Development experience with ASIC/SOC related Physical Design (blocks and top-level)”
- Master Degree in Electrical Engineering or Electronics Design
- Minimum 5 years of experience with Synopsys Physical Design tools – ICC/ICC-2, Primetime, STAR-RC, Python, TCL or Perl
- Netlist2GDS experience in advanced nodes 7nm and below
- UPF based low power implementation.
- Running PT-SI for Multimode Multicorners.
- Experience in using AOCV or POCV for timing variations.
- Proficient in module level Floor planning, Place and route
- Experience in delivering module PD GDS II in ICC flow.
- Understanding of multi-corner multi-mode (MCMM) optimizations
- Crafting power and ground distribution networks and applying unified power format (UPF.)
- Extensive experience in doing timing ECOs and Formality-ECO
